No, you don’t need private health insurance to visit Prospect Dental. All patients are welcome, and you can pay for your care directly. We’ll explain any recommended treatment and the costs involved before you proceed.
-
Please bring your private health insurance card, if you have one, and a list of any medications you take. If you have a referral or relevant dental records or x-rays, please bring these along or arrange to have them sent to us before your visit.
-
While we always endeavour to be transparent about pricing, we are unable to provide exact prices over the phone for any treatment other than a check-up, clean and x-rays. This is because dental treatment prices vary considerably based on the size and difficulty of the problem, which will be determined by the treating dentist. During your initial check-up, we will assess any problems you have and provide a detailed price estimate prior to commencing any treatment.
-
We are happy to consult you on a treatment plan, however, please be aware that costs and opinions between dentists may vary based on numerous factors, including health fund provider arrangements. We would need to see you in person for a complete examination and would require all x-rays, which we can request from your previous dentist prior to the appointment. We cannot provide a second opinion over the phone or through email based on photos and x-rays.
